Our Mission

To unite the ALS community in our collaborative approach to foster bold research initiatives, advance national and state advocacy efforts, and provide comprehensive care and support to individuals and families affected by ALS.

Newly Diagnosed?

You are NOT alone.

Receiving a diagnosis of ALS is challenging and overwhelming. There is so much to know, a great deal to consider, and typically a host of questions. While no two people with ALS are alike or will experience the condition the same way, there is a great deal of collective knowledge and wisdom available from health care providers, people with ALS, family members and caregivers.

A new era...

The state of Indiana and its vibrant ALS community are proud to stand alongside ALS United, marking a powerful new chapter in the fight against ALS. This partnership brings together local heart and national strength, ensuring that individuals living with ALS in Indiana have access to comprehensive care, advocacy, and cutting-edge research initiatives.

It’s more than a partnership; it’s a promise. A promise to uplift, empower, and stand strong together.

Together, we end ALS.

I am so excited to know that our beloved Connie Simpson, has joined ALS United Indiana!

In February , Indiana ALS Warriors thought we had lost the lifeline that makes our lives livable with this ugly disease. But even more troubling, we felt like we were losing a member of our family.

Connie has been our rock for many years. She works her magic to get us the equipment we need now, while waiting for insurance approvals or to save us from high deductibles. When I needed a transport chair, a shower chair, and a sit to stand lift, she arranged for a quick delivery from the loan closet. Her cheerful personality was a welcomed sight at clinic visits, and support group zoom calls were informative and fun. She put a smile on our faces, and gave hugs when we needed them, which was often. She didn’t stop caring for us from February till now - that’s because We Are Family! Forever and Ever!
