Jim And Kathi Braun

Connecting in a Time of Need

When Kathy Braun was diagnosed with ALS in 2020, ALS United Illinois became a lifeline for Kathy and her husband, Jim. Care Services Coordinator Peggy guided them through equipment, resources, and care every step of the way.

Kathy passed just five months after her diagnosis, but Jim’s commitment to supporting other families remains unwavering. He believes deeply in the care we provide and has made a matching gift so more families can receive the same guidance and support he and Kathy relied on.

Jim has pledged to match $30,000 in donations received December 2nd - December 31st, 2025. Plus: an anonymous donor just upped the match to $60,000! Your support now has even MORE power!

Give Today. Change Tomorrow.

Right now, families living with ALS need help navigating complex care, accessing equipment, and finding emotional support. Today is the day you can help.
